Deborah Yedlin is a partner in Longview’s Calgary office. Deborah is a well-known business columnist who has been observing, commenting and writing about the nexus of business and politics for more than two decades for the Financial Post, Globe and Mail, and Calgary Herald newspapers. In addition to her writing, Deborah has been a regular commentator on these issues for a wide variety of television and radio stations. Deborah is a sought-after moderator and speaker. With a resume that includes time at Goldman Sachs in New York and Nesbitt Burns in Toronto, Deborah has brought a uniquely informed perspective to her work, tackling a wide variety of topics that include economics, finance, governance, innovation and the energy sector – with the intent of informing and elevating the discourse with respect to complex issues.
Deborah currently serves as the 14th Chancellor of the University of Calgary and is a director of several not-for-profit organizations. Deborah holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Alberta in Economics and English, an MBA from Queen’s University and the ICD.D designation through the Institute of Corporate Directors.
